Dings Match Report

Neither side seemed to have any particular game plan to take this pulsating match by the throat so both sides made mistakes and took advantage of those made by their opponents.

As last week OAs started strong and moved into a handy lead. Indeed before the first quarter finished the hosts were 19 points to the good and looking to accumulate a substantial advantage. Ashley Ilston crossed first and Jonno Wicks seven minutes later. Dan Watt improved the first but was narrowly wide with the second but made immediate amends with a sparkling finish to the next OA pressure.

Patient Dings pressure brought a penalty try on the 20 mark.

Then the mood changed to a more careless approach but not before Tom Mills made his presence felt for the bonus point try. Tom Anderson cut the deficit to indicate a rest for both sides.

OA pressure in scrum and lineout gave opportunity to Alex Ricci on the left but immediately Dings replied by hooker Tom Gollop. Defeo breached the defence three minutes later for Watt’s conversion but Tom Anderson touched down for the visitors four minutes later.

Two more tries by Albanians, the last from hooker turned flanker Mike Bond were shared with a second touchdown from Anderson, Watt converting both the OA scores
