Strange to relate Albanians did not seem wanting in many parts of this one-sided battle. This at least held good in the early stages before an ebullient Tonbridge Juddian side got the bit between their collective teeth. After 35 minutes there was little doubt who would win the day.
If Albanians had to pick the sharpest thorn in their flesh the trophy would go to flying TJ right wing Murray Galbraith-Lowe who managed an astonishing ten minute hat trick just before the break.
Obviously he could not have achieved this alone: his forwards produced fast, clean possession and Will Robinson, a stand out fly half, called the shots effectively behind the pack.
Albanian defence was not up to its usual standard and, with ball in hand, the hosts’ efforts appeared muddled or laboured. The home lineout worked acceptably and the tight scrum proved more than adequate; but all the above does not win contests like this.
Besides their 14’s prodigious efforts, ex-OA Junior Hugo Watson crossed twice for the visitors and he was joined by Nicoll, Coxon-Smith, Robinson and Edwards as TJs built a nine try to two demolition.
Seventeen year old debutant OA full back Sam Jones was a staunch example to his elders and even crossed for the first Albanian try just before the break. Alfie Hill score the other.
