It’s with great sadness that the club announces the passing of former player James Pavitt.
James was a 1st XV player at the club for a number of years before and during our climb up the National Leagues, leaving to pursue a career as a pilot and start a family.
A huge personality on and off the pitch who will be greatly missed, our condolences go out to his friends and family especially his beloved daughters.
We’ve now got the information about Pav’s funeral:
Monday 12th November 12pm
St Johns Church,
St Johns Road,
Harpenden,
AL5 1DJ
The wake will be held at:
The Engineer Pub,
12 St Johns Road,
Harpenden,
AL5 1DJ
Anybody that would like to make any contributions….The Pavitt family have requested for donations to be made to either the fundraising post on James’ Facebook page or alternatively, there will be an opportunity to donate on the day of the funeral. A collection box will be in place at the church and the Engineer Pub. The money collected will be going into a trust fund set up specifically for James’ 3 daughters, Melody (9), Isa (6) and Amber (4). Family flowers only please.
If any rugby chaps would like to wear country or club colours……Martin Pavitt (father) would welcome it.
The family would love to see as many people there as possible to send off the one and only Pav.
