Our Saints continue their progress in the Women’s championship South. As was reported in our last newsletter they enjoyed a famous win over Bath on the artificial pitch at Harpenden. Last Saturday week they welcomed Richmond to Woollams. On a pitch that was in cricketing parlance a ‘sticky wicket’ they couldn’t find the same fluency of the previous weekend but still came out winners by 19 points to 15. Three tries apiece but Richmond left their kicking boots at home in a grueling hard fought contest.
Last Saturday, Hove were their guests in what turned out to be a one-sided game with a 76 points to 5 home victory. This is not to detract from Hove as they fought hard to the end but didn’t really have any answers to the quick jinxing running of the Saints.
